This ancient vine, Bianchello, also called Biancame, is grown exclusively on the hills of the Metauro river. This ancient vine, Bianchello, also called Biancame, is grown exclusively on the hills of the Metauro river. Mythological wine because Tacitus, philosopher and writer of imperial Rome, mentions it as responsible for the defeat of Hasdrubal by the Roman legions in the battle in 207 BC, fought right near this river. Bianchello has represented for my family of winemakers and still represents for me, a third generation winemaker, the symbolic vine to which a lifetime of work has been dedicated.

The work carried out has led to identifying territories on which to plant vineyards with different characteristics from each other, capable of giving grapes and wines with a strong personality, to experimenting with advanced winemaking techniques in winemaking with the production of wine in reduction and cryomaceration.

This Bianchello wine was born from passion, research and technology:

THE VINEYARD OF TERRACES 2021

Bianchello del Metauro Doc

Terraced vineyard near the Adriatic Sea, at an altitude of 100 metres, on tufa and sand soil where the winds of bora, mistral and tramontana, caressing the vineyards, deposit the sea salt while the warm and dry wind of libeccio (garbino ) brings the grapes to optimal ripeness.

Sensory Analysis:

Brilliant straw yellow color with green reflections. Elegant floral notes of hawthorn, linden and lily on the nose. Fruity, it recalls grapefruit and citron, then pineapple, white melon and sage, tarragon and lemon verbena. It is characterized by a marked iodized minerality.

When tasted the Bianchello wine, the acidic richness is balanced by the important glycerine contribution, therefore fresh and sapid. Persistent finish with fruity hints of citrus with confirmation of minerality and finesse.
